Hypnotherapy for Insomnia
Insomnia is the inability to fall asleep, or to stay asleep long enough to get a proper night's sleep. The occasional night with too little sleep
can make you feel very tired the following day, but if this goes on for a long period of time it may cause health problems such as high
blood pressure and diabetes, or may even make you more likely to suffer with a weight problem.
Insomnia can be caused by an underlying problem, either medical or psychological problem such as grief, stress, anxiety and depression.
over long periods of time, insomnia can weaken the immune system, making you more susceptible to illness, irritability, poor
apathy and loss of energy.
Insomnia is not uncommon. It is thought that 30 to 40 per cent of people have some level of insomnia in any given year. It can strike people at
although it occurs more frequently in people over the age of 60.
There is nothing worse than going to bed and not being able to sleep, but hypnotherapy can change your sleeping patterns safely and easily to
allow you to
sleep peacefully again. There are close links between the deep relaxing experience of hypnosis and the calm physical and mental experience
needed to sleep.
I have now completed a Masterclass with Hypnotherapist Paul Byrne who has devised a three step program for Insomnia. This three session
course enables you
to change your sleep pattern easily and effectively, and is suitable for both short and long term insomniacs.
